Virtual Rhymes: Tool Overload

I switch on my laptop.
I log onto Skype.
I check my Slack updates.
(You know, it’s the hype.)

I work on my spreadsheet,
I make notes on Word,
They both have “share” options,
The boundaries blurred.

An email pings in,
Then a “like” from a friend,
I’m mentioned on Twitter,
When will this end?

My Dropbox’s stopped working,
I can’t find my file,
I’m clicking and clicking,
My humour turns vile.

I thought working from home
Would make me productive,
But all that it’s done,
Is fuel the desire
to be more destructive.
